Factory H/U and Crossover
Is it possible to hook up bass blockers/crossover to a factory HU speakers outputs with hurting the HU? I have been told it will hurt the HU by stereo shops. I just thought they are trying to sell me more stiff.

Why would you want to hook bass blockers up to factory headunit anyway? The only time bass blockers are even recommended are when you add an aftermarket HU to stock speakers

Want to add amp sub to the HU. Was told would get better sound that way

ha...no. Alls you need is a line out converter. Putting bass blockers between a factory head unit and factory speakers is just stupid.

Why would I need line out converter when I want to use the HU to power the factory speakers and block the lows going to them. I will use in line out converter to go to the amp.

There is no reason to block your lows in your factory speakers just because your adding a sub. Just use the function on the radio to turn the bass down a bit if you think it sounds bad. Waste of time/money.
