Hey Im a little new with my truck since I havnt had it but a couple weeks but it says MP3 on it and there is a jack on top of the radio up where the small tray is on the dash, its a little hole jack.. Can I find a cable to hook up from my Zune (mp3 same as Ipod) to the hole jack,, is that what its there for?

 

Yes, that is what the jack is for. The jack is not related to the MP3 written on the front of the HU though. The jack is just to plug things in like MP3 players to feed the audio into the HU and through the speakers. The MP3 on the front of the HU means that you can put compact discs into the HU that have MP3 computer files on them and the HU can read these compact discs and play them through speakers like a regular compact disc.

 

thanks for the info, I read this earlier and went to bestbuy and picked up a auxilery plug that plugs into my earphone part on my mp3 player then plugged it into the radio, man this is awesome Ill never burn another cd again -

 

I use my Aux plug to play MP3 off of my laptop thru my stereo.. ( Pioneer ) After market ... I used to burn MP3 cd's but with over 100 gigs of tunes on my laptop I just plug the laptop into the inverter and then the earphone plug from my laptop to the aux on the head unit and let it play.. Also My daughter watchs movies on the laptop and it sounds great with the audio coming thru the stereo
