Ok. I did several searches and spent a good bit of time trying to figure out an answer to what I want to know, but I think I am considerably slower than what I need to be to understand all of this. So...I have a simple question and will investigate further if y'all say it is possible:

I have an OEM '04 HU audiophile (aux button, 6 cd changer, sub and no sat).

Can you buy the newer tray with the plug in it and hook it up to work on my HU so that the ipod can sit in the tray and access it through the "aux" button. No exposed wires or harnesses dangling around.

I want to keep the stock look, but be able to just plug in the ipod through the jack on the tray.

I've been wondering the same thing Mid-line. My 04 F150 has an AUX button on the radio but no jack. I've seen other trucks with the AUX jack in the upper dash, but can't seem to find anywhere to buy. Have you heard anything? besides going to the dealership and paying out of the *** for one.
