I can't adjust my subwoofer level

I have a Pioneer CDA-9886 and can't for the life of me figure out why the subwoofer adjustment on the deck doesn't do anything. I have 2 10's and they work fine.

its alpine fyi, haha
maybe you plugged the RCA cables into the speaker outputs, not the subwoofer one.
