Installed headunit-can hear woofer but cant hear door speakers

alright, so this weekend me and a buddy decided to install my subs, amp, and headunit i got for my truck. everything went smooth but we ran into some trouble when it came to installing the head unit. We double checked our wiring and everything, and the head unit turns on and everything and you can go to anything you want on it, but no sound comes out of my door speakers at all. My subs will work and you can hear the bass but no sound comes out of my door speakers. My friend thinks it could be my headunit which still kinda confuses me. Anyone have any ideas on what the problem could be? the subs and amp are kicker and the headunit is a pioneer deh-p4900 if it helps any.

and yes we checked and made sure the equalizer and fade wasn't just set weird.

Thanks for any help in advance

Cody

I'm no pro, but it sounds like a wiring issue. If you installed a new HU and ran your RCA's from the HU to the amp for the subs, then what is feeding your doors? If the doors are not powered by a seperate amp, and just taking their power from the HU then perhaps the HU sees something on the Pre-Amp RCA out and is not sending it's internal amplified power out....maybe...

i dont think its the thing with RCAs because we tried the door speakers before we hooked up the subs and amp to the headunit.

i'm not sure about the premium sound system though

well, i went through and rewired the headunit and still i got nothing out of the speakers.

but i did hook up my stock radio to rule out the possibility of the speakers themselves being the problem. and, when i plugged the stock radio back in, all of the door speakers worked nicely. any one have any other ideas?

i think it does have premium sound system but what would bypassing my amp have to do with my door speakers if my they are running off of my headunit and only my subs are running off of my amp?

Maybe look in the HU menu sometimes the HU might have a internal amp shut of f or on for using the pre outs make sure the clips aka harness in back are in good no bent pins or in wrong as well

Well, i guess it was the built in amp, but not in the head unit in the truck. Wiring harness sheet said that wire was unused but i guess not because now everything works good haha.

Thanks again for all the help

I was going to tell you to try a C battery to make sure that the speakers are working but you already reconnected the old radio and tested that. To me is sounds like a wiring issue. I know that you make have tripled checked this but I would go over it again
