Thumbs up Need Help..Show me your set up

i just bought a 06 F150 supercab. it still has the stock radio in it, but im looking to change that. i know nothing about radios and dont know what will fit. im looking for something that will play my ipod and be compatible for a satalite radio in the future.
ive seen some cool set up with the tough screen navi's, but really dont know what to do.
anyone have cool pictures of their setup and have suggestions such as brands models and prices....
Much appreciation!!

Haha a 2206 F150? Wow, thats awesome!!

As far as headunits go, pretty much anything on the market will fit in an F150 with the proper dash hit and wire harness. Your best bet to learn is to go down to your local best buy or circuit and see if you can find someone knowledgeable there. If not, go to www.crutchfield.com. they have a lot of good info there. I would use mom and pop shops as a last resort, as many jack up prices and tell you lies in order to get you to buy their stuff.

Ive always been partial to Pioneer radios. Good looks, fantastic quality, awesome features. The Ipod interfaces are also quite nice. I started out with the pioneer DEH-5900 and then just recently upgraded to the pioneer AVIC-N3. I dont have any pics of my radios, but id be more then happy to answer any questions you have as best I can.

I, too, like Pioneers---I just have the 4900. Others will tell you that they like Alpines, Kenwoods, etc...that part is up to you.

1. What is your budget? (this is the big one!)
2. What do you like ergonomically...Pioneers are different than Alpines that are different from Kenwoods...etc.
3. Hod does the HU sound? (a good investment, while youa re at it, is new speakers.
4. Are you going touse an amp and sub?
5. Go listen to them and try them out at the local big box store--and then I would suggest getting whatever you ecide to purchase from Crutchfield.

i have a dual (that is the brand name) 7in touch screen. it plays cds, dvds, mp3, wma, wav, it is xm ready, has a direct link to hook ipod up comes with cable for ipod. only thing i didn't like about it was the internal amp wasn't very loud so i bought an aftermarket 4 channel amp, which if you are serious about a system you will do with any head unit. for the xm you have to buy a receiver box. i bought mine from circuit city for around 50 bux. other than that i love it. i will try to take some pics and get on here.

hope that helps you in your quest!!

I know many will disagree but how can you beat a pioneer avic d3 w/navigation for $548.99? I bought one last month and I flat out Love it. This is the best head/$ period! http://www.cartronixplus.com/templat...h%20navigation
