I have the 6 cd audophile unit with factory sub in my 05. The HU is starting to skip. I found the TSB on that. It says to replace the unit, but I am past the warranty date...figures.

So, while looking for a 2006 or newer audiophile HU I came across this Shaker radio discussion. Is the Shaker a direct swap for my setup? Will it work with the factory sub? Finally, does it have to be reprogrammed somehow?
Thanks!

The shaker is a direct swap. The connections are the same if I remember correctly. There is no programming needed just disconnect your radio and plugin the shaker. I have the shaker 1000 out of an 2007 mustang in my 2006 f150 and it works perfectly. I also hooked up a Ford stock overhead DVD player to it and everything works beautifully. You wont be disappointed with the shaker.

Back in 05 or so about a yr after in bought my truck I put in a Shaker500 out of a mustang, JL CleanSweep, Amp and 2 10" kicker subs under my back seat. I have to admit, that was a very clean sounding stealth system and pumped pretty good. I was very happy with it for few years.

I've since sold the Shaker500 and the Cleansweep for a Kenwood HU with all the doo dads and added another amp.
