HELP with new HU install

hey guys i havent done this before and people said it is easy to do but just have a few questions before i start. cant really afford to pay anybody to do it first off this is the wiring connector i bought. is it the right one?package says 99-03 f series

next is the wiring they gave me with the pioneer 3900

am i just supposed to twist/crimp them together? also why is the pioneer wiring not have any orange wires, and where does the blue/white one go that has a plug on the end? sorry for the somewhat dumb questions
but any help with the basics would help
thanks
o yea its a 2000 f150

yeah just twist and tape em, crimp 'em, heatshrink 'em, it's your call. the pioneer doesn't have an orange wire because that is for the dimmer. not too many headunits use a dimming function, just tape up the end of that orange wire and forget about it. the blue wire with the plug is either for a power antennae (not needed unless your truck has a power antennae) or an amp turn-on lead. again, if you aren't hooking up an amp, let it hang. hope this helps!

Let it hang... How bout tape it up so it doesnt short.

Take back that Walmart harness. Go to CCity and get the smart Harnesses. It will make it easy for you. Just plug together.

tape it up, let it hang whatever, if it's insulated it'll be fine. being that it is labeled remote, the blue is for an amplifier, it's called a remote turn on lead. it doesn't have to be hooked up if you're not using an amp. your remote control will work through the IR on the front of the headunit. the only wires that really need to be hooked up for it to work are red, black, yellow and purple w/ and w/o stripe, grey w/ and w/o stripe, green w/ and w/o stripe, and white w/ and w/o stripe.
