Please tell me you DO NOT buy equip, ent other than harnesses and install kits from crutchfield... They are waaaaaaaay overpriced.

Yeah, i would have paid 300-400 dollars more at Crutchfeild, sure they got a fancy magazine, but its super overpriced

There are about 100 other places online you can get electronics for cheaper, just google what you want, and of course check BBB if you are paranoid about getting scammed

Since the DNX7100 has a USB connection, In theory i should be able to hook up my 80GB portable hard drive to it and play music and movies from there correct???

Where is the USB port on the system, does the screen have to be down to access it?

The usb is on a 3 feet cord from the rear of the unit. I ran mine to the glove box along witht he ipod cables for connection of an 80gb ipod. I can watch videos and listen to music from the ipod.

You can not watch videos from the hard drive in the other hand, just listen to music.

Awesome!!

Thats exactly what i was hoping to hear, Im just gonna put my 80gb hard drive in the glove box, no need for the Ipod Kit then, since all my music is on that hard drive and its only the size of a palm pilot. Ill be able to just bring it in and out to update music and add movies and such

DivX compatible of a DVD..

Nice unit installed one yesterday. Great features

Im not a huge fan of Kenwoods Interface. Too many small PITA menus. I would rather go through 3 screens instead of 3 small text lists of 10 items then have to press a button to go through 3 more lists... My .02
