Between those two I would say the majority of people would choose the Alpine.
I personaly like and just installed a Sony HU

This thing rocks and I got it through Crutchfield

It really depends who you ask . Just like Ford or Chevy . Obviously we all like Fords (because were on this Forum). I will say this , They are both very good HU's . I've owned way more Alpine than all other audio combined . I have since switched over to Pioneer and like it too . If Alpine was still making the stuff from the 80's and into the the late 90's(JAPAN) , You could bet I would be using it . Back in 1994 I was competing with an Alpine 3545 , driving my subs . Built in 1988 , it is to this day the baddest amp Alpine has ever made. It is a dual fan cooled 40 lb monster , capable of putting out 2000 watts at 2 ohm mono . Richard Clark ran five of them in his spl ride .Check out my old school laser https://www.f150online.com/galleries....cfm?num=14043 those were the days. I would say go to a store and play with both brands , check the different features and then decide for yourself .
