Quickie

Okay i didn't know what to exactly hit on the search button so i thought that asking you guys was quicker.

I bought a Kenwood X591 Headunit this past weekend and received it from crutchfield. It came with
1. Receiver Wiring Adapter
and it appears the HEADUNIT itself came with another wiring adapter. I believe that you connect the 2 together by the wirings.

What do i use to connect them. Can i crimp the wirings? Just wrap electrical tape around them? or what.

Thx sorry im pretty not knowledgeable in audio and electronics.

One plugs into the stereo (it came with the stereo).
The other plugs into the plug that used to plug into your factory stereo.

You attach the loose ends to each other. Sit down with the wiring diagram for each one before you start and figure out which color goes to which on the 2 pigtails. (The colors generally aren't the same).

For attaching them, ideally you would solder them together.

Most on here probably don't have a soldering iron, so in the case, twist the wires together and use insulated crimps.

If no crimps, then twist and tape. (That's the last resort)

Got iT. It looks really nice and was pretty straigthforward. Had my friend help me out. Had to call crutchfield help cause the sound turned off but the guy said a wiring came undone and its a setup that turns every sound off if any wire cmes out.
