I'd go with the Kenwood if those are the only units you're considering.

I'd go with the Kenwood. I have a Sony Xplod with front aux input myself. With online music sales going the way they are I wouldnt be surprised to see the cost of actual discs going way up anyways. MP3 palyers are the way to go!

I'd get the kenwood also.

Normally I wouldn't recommend crutchfield since they over inflate their prices. But they are only $30 higher than my favorite store so this is a good deal considering Crutchfeild will give you a free install kit, harness, and instructions, plus excellent customer support.

Just installed a X591 into a customers 87 Monte Carlo this weekend. Huge difference over his original Pioneer DEH-P4800. The big difference was the 4 volt pre-amp outputs over Pioneer's 2 volts (which that JVC you are looking at has as well)

The X591 also has a rear USB port cable allowing you to plug in a USB thumb drive or even a larger hard drive. I'm not sure what size of drive it will support though. I know that on my Excellon DDX8019 I am running a four port hub with four 2 gig thumb drives that I break down by genre. The unit also features a 3.5mm Aux input so you can plug your portable XM, Sirius, iPod or whatever external player. Add the integrated iPod controller and opperate the iPod directly from the radio using the USB interface.

Also to be gained out of the X591 is the ability to add Kenwoods Bluetooth adapter. This bluetooth is one of the best working ones I've used. I've installed about 20 of these lately and NO ECHO PROBLEMS.

Also the remote control on the JVC is so tiny and feels strange in the hands. Plus most customers complain that it's so small that it falls and gets jammed between the seat and center console or seat tracks. I like the larger remote that the Kenwoods come with.

My two cents. Happy shopping.

Just ordered the Kenwood X591. Hopefully will get it by the end of the week and see how this beauty works! First time at installing headunit into car. Tricky or hard??? Hopefully Crutchfield instructions will help!

I would go Kenwood, even though I'm a Pioneer guy. I narrow down the look of them when all the number criteria is met. The JVC looks not to have a face off, but me I like all three, Kenwood tops the list though.

I have the Same Excelon X-591, You will Love it. The Blue lights look Great, The only knock I have on this paticular head unit is the FF & Rewind joy stick is kind of Tricky. You have to press it in and to the left or right depending on what you're doing FFW'D or Rewinding. the problem is this joy stick Also Pauses the CD when pressed in, and is VERY Sensitive. Plus you can't do it with the remote which is much easier to use! Great Choice, they don't come much Better than KenWood! I have a little 6 " Bazooka (100 watt Powered) under the Back seat, and I Like that you can control the Bass from the Head unit! Excellent choice!
