Hey guys I'm going to be installing this new head unit pretty soon, and I have the wiring harness and dash kit for my 98 F-150. As an aspiring DIY guy, I reaaaaally don't want to have to pay someone else to do this for me.

Anyone have some step by step instructions/previous experience/things I should look out for?

Just did the IVA-W200, Its pretty straight-forward. Connect the wiring harness using bullet connectors, T-taps, splice’s, generally anything of that sort.

It makes it easier to change wires down the road if you have too, plus soldering sucks. Found out after I did my installation but you can actually use the cigarette lighter ground (Black wire).

Oh yeah and remember to take off the negative terminal of your car battery so you don’t zap yourself!

By no means am I an expert but I think that’s pretty sound advice. Other than that I think your in the clear, good luck boss!
