CD INITIALIZE error
Hey All -
Bought a 2005 OEM 6 disc changer from a Ford 150 to put in a 2004 Ford 150. Installed it last night but when pushing the CD button, the display says "CD Initialize" and will not let me select a cd bay to load a cd in. Radio, clock, etc. works fine. Any ideas?

Probably a firmware revision issue.The '05 model uses the CANBUSS(Controllear Area Network Buss).
Do a search of the threads for head unit problems....plenty of info. Sorry I can't be of more help.
