Hello, I am considering purchasing a Kenwood DDX8017 for my 2004 F-250 and was wondering if it would fit into the stock radio opening. I am getting conflicting info so I was wondering if anyone has that setup in their truck.

The radio shop is telling me that the '04 F-250s radio opening isn't a true double din size so it will require custom modification (cutting) to the dash opening to fit the Kenwood double-din unit. Is this true?

Is the '04 radio opening smaller than the '05 and on superduties and F-150s?
