Hi folks...

I just bought a 9833 off ebay. My question is since I will be using outboard amps to power everything, and subsequently will have the internal v-drive turned off, do I still need to route the power wire directly to the battery instead of just plugging it into the harness?

If I have it connected to the harness then when I power it on for the first time will it burn wires or blow fuses while I am going through the menus looking for the power ic to turn it off?

 

The deck should be fine to plug into the harness, especially if you're amping all the speakers seperately.

And just out of curiosity where are some good easy to get to grounding spots up under the dash?
