i just installed an alpine head unit in my 99 ford 150. its only 2 months old and i paid almost 300 for it. when i turn the truck on the whole head unit turns on and a split second later turns off.. then on.. then off.. then on.. you get the picture.. what could be the cause of this problem??? i do alot of driving in my truck and i have GOT to have my music. PLEASE HELP!!!

I would check all connections, and probably just re-wire it to be sure. If it's been fine for two months and now is not.... something must have come loose. In any case, do it before warranty runs out.

 

Check your wiring. Probably your line power or ground is loose.
