Ok, I want to upgrade my sound system. I do not have the subwoofer under the seat. But I am still not convinced the HU is not A Audiophile unit? Got that? I am told the Audiophile HU unit has 3 plugs coming out the back, can someone upload a picture showing what I can expect to see? The stereo sounds very good when listening to cd's, could be better listening to the radio... Any people in the know about what to look for to discover whether it is or isn't a Audiophile HU please chime in... Thanks alot...

 

The Audiophile system has many features not offered on the non-Audiophile units. For example:

*The sub box w/ sub and amp
*Component speakers in the front doors (pop off the grills and see if you have 6x8 and separate 1" tweeters)
*Sound stage settings on the menu feature on HU - adjusts sound to drivers side speakers only, rear speakers only, all speakers

The Audiophile also has built in filters that don't allow bass to be sent to the door speakers. They only allow bass to the subwoofer. If you have the Audiophile unit, you will only hear the midrange and highs.
