stock radio swap

Hi-
I'm trying to swap out the radios in a 2004 F150 and a 2004 Ford Escape, I'm having heck getting either head unit out of the dash. I have the "hooks" that are generally used to pull radios but it won't work on the Escape. Anyone have any helpful advice? I have never had any problem pulling any radio out of my 2002 F150 but these two are boogers.

Thanks in advance

Escape uses the Ford radio tools, but the '04 F150 has a different set up-you pull the trim panel, then remove four bolts that hold the radio in place.

Hope you weren't planning on swapping those radios-ain't gonna happen without major modification...

Thanks for the info, the Escape radio is a pain the rear to get out. the radio tools won't budge it. I was planning on trying to swap them, whether or not i complete it depends on how much space there is behind each radio currently.

much appreciated
