Question Head unit wiring.......

I have a OEM headunit laying around that I thought about hooking up in my garage to a couple cheap speakers. Has anyone ever done this?

What do I do about an antenna?
I assume I can just use a 110vac/12vdc transformer for power.

Thanks.

I've done this a few times over the years. For power, I just picked up a cheap 3A AC/DC universal converter from Radio Shack for $3, cut off the little plug and soldered the leads onto the HU's connector. A CD player may draw upwards of 5A or more, so a larger power supply may be in order. Anything over 3A can get expensive. For an antenna, just run a wire from the antenna lead up the wall in the garage.
