Alrighty, looks like it's time for battle!

I'm sure I mentioned that they removed my radio and sent it in for servicing, leaving me without a radio for a week. Once the dealer recieved it back (not a new head, but my old one "repaired") and only after throwing a fit, they put it back in and didn't put my alarm wire back where it goes, or my XM cables......

That's not the problem though......

Today, it spit out a disk that previously had no problems, and had only been put in once and never removed......I put the disk back in, and it started showing the Song information for DISC 2 TRACKS!!!!!!!!!! It retained ALL the time information and song information from DISC 2 and applied it to DISC 1!!!!!

....and to top it all off, it's been two weeks since this was "repaired" and I've yet to get my SURVEY!!! Coincidence?

I'll let ya'll know what happens.......

Yeah, I got mine replaced the same day, and still giving me some trouble on the one cd. The audio guy for the dealership I used told me that company Ford uses for their radios is bankrupt, and they know there is a known bad problem out there. At least it doesnt get stuck accepting new cd's. Im thinking im just stucking getting a new HU or the Ipod/Cleansweep option.

Yeah...I couldnt think of their name. Thats why its almost hopeless to get them fixed. Ford is sort've between a rock and a hard place with this whole mess. I did find out one more thing. Some of the new security installed on these new music cd's is the cause of the bad disk errors. Just got a email from the Chris Cagle site.

I've got a burned mp3 disc in slot 1 and 2, and regualr cds in 3 and 4.......

If Ford can't fix/replace these headunits, does that mean that we can get them to "refund" the price of the headunit? Maybe we can get a group buy on the new Eclipse dvd/nav/hd unit! That would be sweet!

I had a problem with my cd6/mp3 player the minute I drove off the lot (8/5/05) - it made a bunch of clicking noises trying to read a non-existant disc and gave a *Cd Error* reading. I took it back and the *stereo specialist* looked at it and told me they could replace it but that style was on backorder.

He snagged a single cd player from one of the trucks on the lot (told me it would be faster if they sent mine back instead of just ordering one then sending mine back) and it worked fine for the 2 weeks I had to wait for the new one - I didn't want to be left w/ no radio and a hole in the dash on a brand new truck that still had paper plates. Plus I was going on a weekend trip down to the coast, 2hrs each way without a radio was not gonna happen.

The unit I got back was a brand new one and I have had no problems since. Only bad thing was I lost two cd's that wouldn't eject.
