Removing factory stereo

Just picked up a 2005 F-150, FX4, and want to remove the factory single CD. Question, how do I remove for factory dash face plate and the stereo. I am use to the old school stereo's which just require a special tool.

Thanks,

Dave

Not sure if yours is the same as my xlt but should be close. Just pop out your cup holders and grab a hold. Pull up until it pops( its hard to pull and may feel like you are going to break it) Once it does pop pull off on each side and move your way up then its just the couple of bolts

There is a tool that has flat forked tip that is made to remove the stereo panel and various other interior parts, get one it's alot easier and you won't take a chance breaking anything

eh

Part's stores suck here in AK. I ended up using the big orange plastic trim tool that came free with my dynamat kit.
