Aftermarket CD in 04/05 F-150

I'm looking at buying a new '05 F-150. Unfortunatly, all my music is now on Mp3. The truck I'm looking at only has a single cd. How do the aftermarket cd players look in the F-150's with the angled dash? When taking the test drive, it looked as though they would look silly.

Does anyone have a photo that would show me what an aftermarket cd player looks like mounted in the F-150? Oh yeah, do the stock cd players play cd audio cd-rw's yet?

Thanks,

Matt

Yes the stock units do. There are even Factory Headunits that are 6disc MP3 units.

Here's what I just installed -- Kenwood X889 HU and Music Keg (actually a VW phatbox that i reflashed to Kenwood firmware). You can see how the Phatbox will be hidden behind my ashtray door (as soon as I get some spring loaded hinges).

I used the stock head unit at first, but it seems to be very sensitive towards discs, skip easily, and give errors and kick out the discs a lot. I know it's under warranty, but if I'm gonna take the time to take it out, I'll just replace it. I put in my already purchased mp3 deck and although it's silver and doesn't match the dash, the sound quality blows away the factory deck. IMO, ditch the deck and buy an aftermarket one.

Nothing to fancy. A Kenwood KDC-MP7028. My big need was the auxilary input. I drilled holes just big enough for the rca plugs to fit in the back of the pocket.
