Angry MP3 Player Help

I just bought a 2005 F-150 with a stock in dash 6 disk w/ MP3. I have bruned several audio cds with no problem. But when I try a MP3 cd it gets kicked out as a bad disk. I have used 3 different programs, with folders and with out, and 2 different makes of cds. The Ford guys here say it pretty much my problem since the mp3 also didn't work in my salesman's truck. Has anyone have any tips?

According tohttp://blueovalnews.com/2005/advisor...er.18mar05.htm:

Dearborn, Michigan. 2005 Freestyle, F150, Five Hundred-Montego, Mustang, Focus and Freestyle vehicles made from 5-17-2004 through 2-24-2005 and equipped with a single or six disk CD player with MP3 capability may have a defective audio unit. If a CD player skips, locks up when playing homemade CDs, displays "error" or "bad disk", will not accept CDs or is inoperative or inconsistent when playing CDRs, then the audio unit should be replaced by Ford under provisions of the new vehicle limited warranty.

Ford has already authorized your Ford or Lincoln-Mercury dealer to replace the audio unit.

So go back to the dealer and tell them you want a new deck.

I don't know if your using homemade paper lables on them but my dealer told me not to use them on my burnt disks. He said they are off balance and wreck the lens. Just had mine replaced a week ago.

Thumbs up MP3 Player Help

My CD-RW MP3 discs would get rejected as "Bad Disc" and my CD-R's sounded like someone pulling their nails across a chalkboard.

I took my new F-150 back yesterday after reading Heybeermantx's post on the faulty players. The dealer replaced it without question.

The old CD-RW's I made still would not play (haven't tried to redo a CD-RW yet), but when I burned a CD-R (7 subfolders/approx 118 songs) - No Problem! Time to start ripping all my CD's now!

Thanks HeyBeerManTX!

No problem!

That's what we're all here for.
