Remote turn on.

I just got a used Pioneer amp and I am trying to find out where to hook up the remote turn on on my deck. It is as JVC KD-G700 and all i can see on the back of the deck is a wiring harness. Do I have to tap into one of these wires?

Oh, and the remote turn on that goes into my amp is a 3 prong plug with a red wire and a blue wire coming out of it.

Thanks in advance.

So do I just tap into that wire? Or do I follow it to the end and go from there, where does it go to?

And on my plug that goes into the amp, there is a blue wire and a red wire. Are you saying that I only need to use the blue wire?

The blue wire from your head unit is the remote lead for the amp. Your amp most likely has the remote, and power, on the same little plug. I say cut the plug off, get some nice bullet connectors, and attach them that way. The only wires from the head unit to the amp are the remote power lead (blue) and the RCA cables. Unless you are going speaker level to the amp, then that's a different story.
