Any updates on the quality of these units? They seem to look good for the money. Where did you get yours and how much did you pay? I just wish they had sirius controls, but I guess I could use a car kit and install it seperately from the main HU.

I've had mine installed for almost a week and i'm pretty happy with the unit. It does lack touch screen but with all the buttons on it I already find myself playing with it far too much while driving. It sounds great though so no complaints there. It has 5.1 Digital built in, tv tuner, and rear camera add on (coming soon for me)... For any one with a supercrew it has dual zone so the people in the back can watch a movie while the radio is on up front and so on. kind of neat. the unit itself appears to be very well made. I bought mine off ebay for 710 shipped to the door. It has quite a few inputs/outputs as well for addon's. my xm will plug straight into the unit as well as a cd changer. I'm not sure which models of changer yet or if it's a "universal" plug or not... do they even have those? in any case, so far i'm very happy with the unit. They do have a unit coming soon that has all the same features but has NAV too which would have been nice. To be honest i havent' seen anything else about these head units but I figured i'd take my chances with it. One thing to note it has almost no screws to mount it when it arrived which in my case wasn't a huge issue since everything gets fabricated for my installs... nice having a buddy with a customizing shop!

i have a couple pics in my gallery but i'll post more when things are more "complete"... if that day ever comes -

What volt are the amp pre-outs on the Valor Dvd player?

Are the screens custimizable? Is there a screensaver of sorts. Can you upload images to the monitor? The price is very inticing but it seems you usually get what you pay for. Is there seperate outs for front, rear, and sub? Can you drive and watch tv. Not that I would do that.

Any help would be appreciated.

I'm not sure the volts on the pre-outs, but i'll give them a call and find out this week. i didnt' come across it in the book after a quick check.

There is not a screensaver function, but you can change the screen between 4:3 - 16:9 - Full mode, and you can disable the video so you can listen to sports on tv without having to view it They have seperate wiring harness to hook up the 5.1 channels (center etc). They have a sub pre out, video inputs/outputs, an aux in, camera input. I can watch tv and drive at the same time. I need to wire in my rear view camera this week sometime, but i need to know which wire is the reverse cable. I'm going to wire the rear view so it's live on Reverse automatically, and also so i can switch to aux in while driving. The camera is not night shot, but waterproof/color and initial testing shows awesome image!

i installed the tv antennae yesterday, will post pics as soon as i get everything else put back together. right now i still have to run the xm antennae from the 3rd brake light and run the rca's out to the rear bumper.

as far as the price goes, i can see where some may be nervous to buy one. Between my tv antennae and the rear view camera and the unit I have spent approx. 1k -
I did want the kenwood but it was going be more money than I had to spend. and best of all I have the 5.1 digital built in as well as tv tuner with this unit.

best of luck to anyone else who takes the chance and buys one.

My Valor Combo Unit

I just recently purchased a Valor indash dvd combo unit AV-901T for my F-250 Crew Cab. I got a great deal but found out not too many people are familier with the brand. I have had the unit for about 1 month now and love it. The stereo unit is clean with great graphics and the 7" in dash motorized screen looks great and has nice viewing options. I also got a flip down 8" dvd monitor up top for those in the back seat that works great with the head unit or seperatley if I want. So far so good.
