93 cd player?????

93 cd player?????

i need to know if ford offered an am-fm-cd player for the 93 model f150?? i want to upgrade but stay stock if at all possible. any reply would be of great assistence. thanks a million syscobigdaddy

Yes they did make them in 93, but any single din CD player from ford will work. As long is it is not a premium sound model, unless you have premium sound. I know some of the earlier models had problems playing CDRW's but the newer ones from 96 could play them or at least the one in my bronco did.

My stock head unit in my 2001 has trouble reading some of the CD-R's... it might just be a problem with the brand name, I dunno, all I know is that it get's really annoying driving along and all of a sudden it starts skipping like the CD has been keyed to hell, or I throw a CD in there wanting to listen to it and it spits it back out giving me a "Bad CD" error... no fear's though, Alpine will come to the rescue.
