Alpine IVA-900 and Treble

Hi, I have the HU mentioned with Media Expander and Bass Engine or something like that. My bass is really kicking, however I cannot seem to get my treble adjusted like I want. For my subs, there is a simple adjustment; push the volume button twice, and the sub controls pop up. For the treble, all I can find is what's in the bass engine or media expander, whichever it is. But it doesn't have simple functions, like turn the know and it moves from 1 to 7 or whatever the limit is. You have to adjust it using hertz or kilohertz or whatnot. Confuses me. What should I be trying to do in order to get some more highs to match the bass as opposed to turning the bass down? Higher hertz/lower hertz? TIA.

The center frequency adjustment, or hertz adjustment thing as your calling it ( ) should have 3 different adjustments. Low, mid, and high. Go to the high freq. adjustment (largest numbers) and put it on the highest number and see if that helps. There should also be another adjustment there for a wide or narrow rolloff ,or whatever you want to say, of that frequency. Usually labeled like 2N,1N,1W,2N. setting it towards the 2N side usually makes it seem like theres a little more treble.

You can also mess with the mid frequencies.

Hopefully that made some sence(sp)

That will center your high frequencies on a higher frequency, so it they will stand out a little more than before.

Thanks, I'll try it. This system is a little screwed up to me, because you really cannot make adjustments while driving, not legally anyway because you can only access the controls while the DVD is active, and of course we all know about the safety factor built in by Alpine.
