How do I remove my radio on my 04 f-150, I'm going to swap out the singel cd player for a factery 6 disc from a totaled 04 f-150 at a wrecker, cd player works. Ford dealer wanted 700.00 cdn for a factery 6 disc cd player.

Start by removing the plastic trim around the radio and heater controls. It's one piece that goes from the top of the dash down to the cupholder. Get a finger under the top edge near the tray and SLOWLY pull forward. There are about 8 clips that hold it in, when you have the top edge free, reach behind and unplug the airbag status light (this is tight and can be tricky). There isn't alot of slack in this wire so be careful or you will break the connector.

Then work your way down each side, working the clips free as you go. The heater controls are attached to the trim, just so you know. Lay the moulding to one side and remove the 4 screws holding the radio. Pull it out and reach behind and unplug the connections.

Now just reverse to install. It's a fairly easy project, the hardest part is getting the plastic trim off (damn those clips are tight!).

Hope this helps!

Is there a female AUX jack in the back of the stock radio?

I just bought a 04 F150, and want to hook up my sirius radio, I don't want to go through the trouble if I can't hook up.

nope. You either have to get an amp that accepts speaker level inputs or an LOC.

I believe a 9/32 socket removes the bolts that hold the radio in...
