Volume Question

I have just purchased a 05 F150 XLT which has I believe the standard cd/radio in. Whilst the sound does not seem real bad (I have only had it 6 days) I seem to notice that the volume of the sound seems to drop once I apply the brakes & slow down Is this normal? Seems a bit crazy to me! I have never had another vehicle that does this.

Check in the menu settings. They have setting that adjusts volume to speeds. If you are going fast like on the highway, there is a lot more road noise, so the system increases volume for you automatically, and decreases with a decrease in speed.

press the menu button and go through the options untill you get to one that says "speedvol" when you get there, you have the option of "off" or anywhere from "1-7" try changing it to "off" and see if that fixes your problem.

Thanks I check it out & see what happens. I will change the unit at some point and get something a bit better. I had a nice Kenwood unit in my car.

Just push the down arrow until it says "0".. Or it might say "off" I'm not sure. When you get to speedvol just keep hitting the down arrow and when its all the way down it should be off.
