Question Gas mileage .....again

I know I saw another thread about what kind of gas mileage people are getting with their trucks....but I couldnt find it. So, here it goes again. What are you getting? I seem to be getting worse and worse MPG. Every time I fill up it seems to be less miles on the tank than the last one. Is this normal? Im lucky if I get 200 miles on a tank of gas. I do alot of city driving with a mix of highway, but I keep reading about 14 MPG not 10. That free tank went for close to 230 and now Im at 190 or so,,,,? had my truck maybe a month now, is this normal MPG numbers or what. My truck is all stock so far, and I drive it light since its still a little fresh!

Thats funny, when you research the trucks they make claims of 15 MPG and 275 miles on a tank......LOL! Do you always use premium gas?

Bad gas mileage.

I averaged a little over 11mpg on my last tank. It was mostly city driving. On the highway, I can get up to 14mpg.

For me, the truck seems to be getting better gas mileage now that it is older, 8000 miles now

However, it is not too bad for a V-8 Supercharged Engine. It didn't even make the top ten list for gas guzzlers.

Do you always use premium gas?
Yes and you have to, for the HDs that are supercharged. The non S/C F-150s do not need premium, chipped regular F-150s need premium gas.
Please tell you you are putting in premium gas on your 02 HD.

My mixed driving with a heavy foot get's me close to 270-275 miles. That's from a full tank, till the Empty light comes on, which is approx 5 (or less) gallons left in the 25.5 gallon tank. That comes out to 13.0-13.5 mpg

Yup, it says right on your instrument cluster by the low fuel warning light in bright white letters "PREMIUM FUEL ONLY"
your only asking for trouble if you don't on the 02 and up HD's

I think that I get about 13 mpg. I mainly drive around town. I have about 5600 miles on my baby. Gas milage is no worse than the 01 screw 5.4 4x4 that I had before this. I use sunoco 94 octane fuel. I switched from Texaco 93 octane after the girl inside kept asking me out. YUCK

I get around 11-12 MPG. But most of it depends on your driving characteristics. It's POSSIBLE to get 15 mpg in city and 19 mpg on highway (EPA) but whose grandma owns an F150 HD? Exactly!
