Thumbs down

13-15 MPG City

Haven't taken her on a trip yet, so no HWY numbers. I'm sure it gets 30-40 MPG on the HWY though. *L*

Yep, 13-15 mixed driving. I drive it to work and it is half city streets and half freeway.

Taken it on a couple trips to my parents about 65 miles from home and pretty much averaged the same. That was about 80% freeway and 20% mountains.

Red face

I've been averaging about 11 mpg in the city, but my HD has 600 miles total and my lead foot doesn't help.

not a s/c 02, but on my 10 hr trip down to SC last summer, i got 18.5 mpg on average on the way down, and that was with a fully loaded bed, and 4 people, but the ac off (drove during the night so it was cool out) and cruise control on at 70 mph most of the way.
once down there though, it was hot as a mother! AC on all the time, short trips, a 4 minute redlight to get out of the development that every time i wanted to go somewhere i had to sit through it butchered my mileage down to 11, and the truck was all unloaded and no lead foot then .

11 mpg. Mixed city and freeway. It is difficult to beleive 15 mpg even in a stock truck

I get 12, using the calculator on the Ownersite. Although I do have quite a few reciepts I need to add. I am curious to see if my tonneu cover has made much of a difference. I am just lazy about getting the reciepts into the office so I can add them.

I guess I should show my sig so you know what I got:

I have a bone stock 02 HD. Took the truck on vacation to FL - roundtrip was 1300 miles with mostly highway but some city driving. For the trip I averaged 15.1 mpg with a best of 16.8 and a worst of 14.1. Drove very gently (break in period - I got it 3 days before I left for vacation) but had the automatic climate control on the entire trip.

When I first signed up for the forum, I hadn't read too many posts. I was trying to think of a good way to describe the dark grey of the new Harleys. It sort of stuck. So, to answer your question - no it is the normal grey (unless you consider road dust and tree pollen tint a "special" color)

I think am going to win "dirtiest truck" at the BAHDFOG meet this weekend.
