help me with slicks

who has run et streets or slicks on their truck at the track? what rim/tire combo did you run?

Looking for inexpensive, lightweight rims/tires that will not increase my gear ratio too much...

thanks

You can go to www.teamjdm.com for some slick for the rear of your HD. They are a must have once you put some mods on your truck. Some trac link bars would help as well. I think that the trac link bars are first, because they can be used in every day use. Where as the slicks are a track only item. Here is a pic of my trac bars.

I'm getting a set of 16x10 American Racing rims (don't remember the model--has 10 holes I think), relatively light--not down there with the Convo Pros I run on the 'Stang at the strip, but still pretty good--cheap is the operative word here. I already have the 26x11.50x16 ET Streets to put on them--hoping to snag some 1.8xx or so 60's .

Slingshot,

Good deal... I think you might be able to break a 1.7xx with the ET streets. I pulled off a 1.94 60 on the goodyears and that was about a 1200rpm launch... If you can launch at 1500 or 1800 and stick...

I was thinking of buying a couple of 18" lightning wheels and putting a pair of Nitto 555R drag radials on. The O.D. of that setup would be a little less than an inch smaller than the stock GTIIs...
