hmmm, just thought of something. i've got an emailing list for all the east coast HD owners that i invited to the mikes famous meet back in october. i can email them all a link to the registry and hopefully get ya some more people. i'll do it tomorrow probably.
speaking of which, i know you head out to alot of the L meets with them, maybe you can come down to one of our meets. Gonna organize a cruise/drag strip meet in the spring, and then the mikes famous one in the fall again

I have just started to get invovled with this website actively and have found out there is alot more to owning these trucks then just driving them. Once I get some pics of my truck I will register to help that '00 page fill up.

i'm assuming you didn't get the owners plaque with the truck then? if you got it used, you'd have to contact the original owner to see if he still has it and can tell you the build#. If you got it new, some guys just never got them. Otherwise, without the plaque, there's no way to tell which # it is.

yea unfortunately....

I mean we tried getting in touch with Ford, that failed, they only suggested that the sequence they were build in was the last 6 digits of the VIN#, which is true, its the overall sequence but that sequence is not special to the Harley-Davidson F150's... they had another sequence that was stamped on the plaque...

yup, the last #'s of the vin doesn't tell ya what # your truck is. that is the total count of how many f150's came out of the plant, not just HD's

for instance, the last #'s in my vin is 89886.
this wouldn't make sense for 2 reasons
1. my truck # is really 0356
2. they didn't make that many 00HD's. the number i found after doing alot of research and emailing people from the ontario plant was 8197 HD's in 00

i know of at least 3 that were totalled in accidents unfortunately. somebody posted pics a loooooong time ago on here. so thats 3 more down. 8192 to go
there's also a guy that works at the dealership who's got a 00HD. not sure if he's got the plaque though, i think he got it used, but i'll check when i'm out there and i'll find out my friend's build # on his 02

no 03's yet? i emailed about 3 or 4 guys from the other site and told them about it.

only one, Mark from DC... he send me an awesome picture that was really huge and good to work with, the only down side was its longer than it is high, so I couldn't resize it well enough to fit the whole truck in.

I think I'll go on and post a chopped picture (of just like half the truck on it or something, and if he send me another one I'll just update it later) I just hate creating more work for myself, but for this cause I might as well go ahead and do it, haha

later,
