I came across this thread in the L forum a few days back. I really like it a lot and thought that the budget conscious folks (like me) can benefit from this idea.

Since I still have my old cone K&N filter from my 2001 XLT Screw, I think this will be my best alternative versus the kits being sold.

 

I read that post. Audio18 did an amazing job on that install. It looks professional to me. I personally don't think I could do something like that but if you have the expertise...go for it! It will give you the same benefits as a $200 intake from anyone else.
