Question Part number help!

Anybody here knows how to get the part number for the front fog light bulb for an 02? One of mines exploded and the f@#$*& dealer cannot get the right part number. It seems that it changed fro 02 and the PN that they get in the system is different (old). They told me that maybe I need to buy the whole assembly at $200+! Yeah right. Also any good net place to buy it?TIA

I say just go to auto zone or a website or something and buy new bulbs. The size is H1 for the fogs. Sounds like a good oportunity to upgrade to some whiter (legal) fog bulbs probably be cheaper than paying the dealer price too. you definatley don't have to buy a whole new fog assembly for just the bulb.
If you do get them through ford though, if their part # is for the 01 or 00 HD fog bulbs, the bulb is still the same so it'll still work.

same here.

My foglight also blew out a couple of months ago due to water. I ordered one from Ford, and it was the wrong one. I still don't have a new one. I am going to take it in and have the whole thing replaced under warranty.

That's exactly what happened to me. The one that shows in the books for 00 and 01 (Ford and non Ford , i.e PepBoys etc.) is different than the one in the 02.

I say go on ebay and purchase some xenon replacements. They are about 20-25 bucks for a pair. One of my friends has them on his gator and they look great. If you do go that route...be sure not to touch the bulbs when installing or the oil on your fingers will get hot and bubble and break the bulb and you will just end up getting more bulbs. Good luck!

Well I bought the H1 GE replacement at Discount Auto Parts ($5) and everything is fine now. I think I need to change my parts counter to another Ford dealer. If these guys can't figure out a simple fog lamp imagine how they will respond to something more complex! Of course I learned for next time to ask my friends here first Thanks again
