New tires for the HD... Which ones?

Has anyone changed the tires on their HD yet? Curious what tire you went to...

I am considering what tire I will upgrade to after I finish roasting the GTIIs. The 295/40/20 tire I want is designed for 10" to 11.5" wide rims. We are at 9.5" of rim width and there isn't anything I can find that is close to the factory OD that will fit the rim....

Any ideas?

Ken

chgames posted pics of his 02HD with P295/40/R20's on his truck a few weeks back. they looked really sweet. awsome tread pattern too. do a search for his screen name in the thread starter column cuz he doesn't post too often so it should be easy to find.
o yeah, we are a 9.0" rim, the L's are 9.5

Ken800, one of the first mods I made to my truck was to remove the stock Goodyears and install the Toyo Proxes ST's -
295/45/20's. I believe they are a 1/2 inch taller than stock and Toyo recommends a 9.5 wide rim, but I have not had a problem. They are a bit quieter than the Goodyears, but handle much better. The tire wear rating is much higher than the GY's. Most folks I spoke to get about 50k out of them. Good Luck!!!

Thanks for the leads...

I am looking for something REALLY sticky. I don't care if I get 15K miles out of them, as long as they STICK....

I have GY HP ultra 295/40 20. They are nice. If you want the BEST tire for your wheels, BFG g-fofce kdws 295/40/20. Wont last long, but like glue to the road.
