ya put an extra "w" in front of the address

here it is
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=1872773151

anyway, i will bet you anything, those are not 22's. It doesn't say anywhere on the rim, whether its a 22, or a 20, so what the guy probably did was measure from wheel lip to wheel lip, which comes up to just under 22" if i remember correctly, and he assumed it was a 22 and not a 20. But i'm telling ya, if a company made 22" replicas, we would probably know about it now. treadwheeler was looking into it, but nothing yet.

i'll email him just to prove my point. i'll post when i get a reply

Could it be that they just started making them in 22's? Since the guy sells wheels for a living, I don't think he measured them wrong. He even says- YES I SAID 22 INCH - NOT 20'S!! I'm just curious if the stock center caps will fit...

but usually with 22's you can see how it looks bigger than the 20's would, cuz the spokes would be longer. i'm emailing him now and i'll post back. there have been guys before that sold wheels on ebay and said they were 22'' hd rims, but they turned out to be 20's.

Yeah I want to know also if the center caps fit, and he seems sure of himself about them being 22", however we will see.

well he's not gonna say he thinks they are 22's
i just sent him an email asking him for the diameter of the rim from outter lip to outter lip, and whether or not the stock centercaps will fit. i'll post when he gets back to me

We should have known Josh would get to the bottom of this. My guess is with current trend going from 20's to 22's that the aftermarket guys decided to build 22's...

i'm betting that they are 20's. there have been 20" HD rims listed on ebay before as 22's and ended up being 20's. but we'll all see as soon as i get an email back from him. they look exactly like all the other 20" replicas on ebay. i think a 22 would look a little different, kinda like the 18" replicas look a little squished.

but don't get me wrong, some 22" HD rims would be kick a$$! treadwheeler was trying to see how much interest there would be in them a little while back. not sure what came out of it though

NaNa...i was right LoL!

just got an email back from teh guy. here's my original message

"Hi, i was thinking about getting a set of 22" HD replica rims for my 00 HD, and i saw yours listed on ebay. I was just curious as what the measurement from the outter lip of the rim to the opposite side of the outter lip of the rim measured, and also if the stock centercaps would fit. Thanks- Josh Verdieck"

here's his email

"from lip to lip they are right at 9.94", pretty standard .475 rim
flange.
Jeff
and yes the stock centercaps will fit"

I emailed him back cuz i wanted the diameter, not the width, and here's what i wrote

"sorry, i guess i wasn't clear in that last email. What i was wondering is what is the diameter of the rim from outter lip edge to outter lip edge, on the outside of the rim? It should be just under 22" correct? Thanks- Josh Verdieck"

And his response

"<PRE>CORRECT"

So i was right afterall. Go measure your rims and you'll see that from outter lip to lip, it'll be a little under 22". If they were 22" rims, they would measure around a little over 23" probably from lip to lip, cuz the flange has to extend a little farther than the rim where the tire fits in, otherwise the 20" tire on a 20" max diameter rim would slip off. He even said its about a .5" flange on the rim, so take 1" off, and its down to a 21" rim if its exactly 22" from lip to lip, which i think its closer to 21.5 or 21.25, so that would make it a 20.5"-20.25" tire needed really, which would mean its a 20" rim.

I'm emailing him this now

"If its correct that the rims are a hair under 22" diameter from outter lip to outter lip, then those aren't 22" HD rims. I am not interested in getting new rims, my friends and i at f150online.com found your auction, and were wondering if they were the correct measurements, because nobody makes a 22" HD replica rim yet. How do you know they are 22's? Whereever you got that info from, its wrong. I could even get you a pic of a tapemeasure next to my stock 20" HD rim, and it would show a little under 22" from outter lip to outter lip. If they were truly 22" rims, they would measure closer to 23 or 24" from outter lip to lip, cuz the flange has to extend a little farther than the rim where the tire fits in, otherwise the 22" tire would slip off the 22" max diameter rim without a little flange to hold it on. I think you should fix your auction before you screw some person who doesn't know into buying a set of knock off 20'' HD rims, NOT 22's. Thanks for your trouble- Josh Verdieck."

I'll post his reply when he gets back to me

The wheels in that photo are 20x9's. They would look different if they were 22's.

Darn...I was hoping they would be 22's - But what chance was that?! Someone has to make some 22 HD Replicas. I think there would be more than a several buyers.

LoL kidd2001

anyway, ricekicker, did you see treadwheelers post a while back on the 22's? he like works for a rim company or something (has 24's on his HD) and was trying to see if there was much interest in the 22 replica's. I think they would be awsome, but probably be mucho bucks!
haven't heard anything from him lately though, so not sure what has come out of it all

yeah, they probably would weigh around that, cuz the stock ones with the tires weigh in at just around 80 lbs!
