'00 HD have "Ranger" frame?

Okay, first let me say them ain't my words...

A friend of mine does contract work at peoples houses.
Today he ran across a guy with a few harleys parked in his garage and got to talking about bikes and whatnot.
My buddy mentioned that one of his friends (that would be me)owned a '00 Harley F-150. The guy responded with ...that truck's a "wannabe". My buddy asked why, and the guy told him how the '00 HD truck sports a Ford Ranger frame and is not really an F-150. My bud didn't go for it but let it pass (amazing for him cuz he's usually a fighter)
He called me right away to tell me the news, so now I'd like to know FOR SURE what's the real deal.
Anyone?

What would make someone think that of this truck?
I mean it's pretty big, compared to my friends F-150 the only real difference is that it's like a half foot lower (but that's probably because his is a 4x4.)

he's on crack

it is a full size 139" (i'm pretty sure) Full size f150 frame. Its not a ranger frame, they don't even come as long as this truck. Its got the same suspension as a L, so it sits 1" lower all around than a regular 2wd f150. Plain and simple he's an idiot

He's full of it!!! No way is a full sized F series gonna ride on a Ranger frame. Consider the source!

He is clueless!!! I have the 00 Harley F150 and I have a 1999 Ranger and I can tell you that the frames ARE NOT the SAME.

Tell your buddies friend to get his head out of his @ss. The only
simularity in these two frames, is that they are both fabricated at the Frame plant in Detroit.

are you serious, some of you are actually trying to defend against this claim. haiweigh, tell you cycle buddy that is doesnt take a rocket scientist to realize that the HD and F150 is the same truck. As a matter of fact, the '00 HD and '00 supercab F150 are the same exact trucks (5.4 drivetrain). The only differences are basically comestic except for the exhaust and suspension.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA HA!

Okay guys, the F-150's 00-03 are F-150's HD's or no HD's.

I will note that it is the Exlporer Sport Trac that is based on the Ranger frame and carries the same engine as the Ranger not the regular Explorer enigne.

That guy doesn't now a HD from a Sport Trac and does not know what he is talking about!

I once had a guy tell me that the C5 Corvette (I have a 2000) was built on a Camaro frame with the 'ugly' plastic body glued on. He drove a Dodge (Mitsubishi) Stealth with the base V6 engine. Of course he also killed every Vette he went up against at stop lights.

Some poeple DO have tofu for brains.

I knew that guy was way outta whack, some people have no intelligence and go around spewing misinformation about things they know nothing of.
I knew that this ignorant guys comments would make for interesting conversation on the board, but I also had to make 100% sure

Thanks Fellas!
