'00 HD have "Ranger" frame?
This may be true, but Chevy dealer's and Service are 10 times more courteous, flexable, and knowledgable. This may just be my experiences, but there are plenty of other messages on the board showing the same thing. I'm not saying that Chevy' are better than Ford's, but I'm not saying they're worse either.
I won't justify the individuals Ranger/H-D F 150 statement with a response! Although I might add that misinformation in my line of work will result in complete loss of credibility and basically being eaten alive.
As for the courtesy factor of the dealers. I believe it exists on an individual basis. Some good, some bad. Mine has been excellent!
Same goes for brand preferrence. Don't get me wrong here, I love my H-D F150 for what it is but compared to my Wifes '03 Z71 Silverado extended cab, the Fords overall build quality isn't quite as good. The Chevy is much more tight and solid. The sound and feel of the doors when being closed on the Ford is hollow, almost tinny. The quality of the center console in the Ford is sub par for a truck of this caliber. Especially the lid and cheap *** excuse for a latch and hinge! The noise level at any speed in the Chevy is luxury car quiet. The 5.3 Vortecs engine noise is virtually non existent as well. You sometimes have to look at the tach to confirm that it's running. We all know the 5.4 is quite a noisey beast. I blame the cam chains/valve train! Chassis rigidity is much more prevelent with the three piece hydroformed frame on the Chevy.
Okay guys, let me have it...
