un-capping the exhaust anyone?

I'm considering a set of custom built exhaust caps that would basically be used to open the pipes in front of the muffler via a set of "Y" pipes. I'm just thinking that this will help it breath. I'm running 14lbs. of boost on a 2002 Harley truck with a Delta chip, cold air system.

Anyone made this mod or something like it? I have heard that the HD is sensitive to back pressure or lack of it so what can I expect?

If this is not a good idea then what is? Duals? Cat back? Remember this is about keeping cost low while creating a faster ET.

a guy with a L did this, he said he lost alot of low end tq. do a search on the L board for backpressure. I think its called Backpressure BS or something like that. THe supercharged engines need some backpressure

Thanks for the reply. I will check out the "L" forum. By the way, did you get your new HD?

That was a terrible thing for me to say HD356! I just thought you posted about getting a new HD, I apologize. Not everyone is lucky enough to work 80hrs. a week to own a Harley truck!
