First I blow an engine and this morning I hit a deer at 70mph. Shattered the grill and the piece that goes around the grill and headlights. No headlight or blinker damage but the head swung around and put 2 big dents on the driver side 1/4 panel. Any ideas where I can get replacements parts besides the local dealer for $$$.

 

Sorry to hear that about your truck - at least you weren't injured. I have seen several people selling HD parts online - EBay, other truck sites, etc. Since I don't have an HD I haven't really paid any attention to what they have been selling. I know local to me there is a place called Midstate Aftermarket Body Parts that deals in a lot of body panels, etc. Might be worth checking your phone book to see whats out there.

Oh yeah - did you at least get the deer??

 

1st - glad to here the motor is back on line ( any addidional warrenty issues) and second I'm sorry to here about the run-in, I hope everyone is OK and that you have a little extra meat in the freezer. As far as the 1/4 panel - is that not the same as any standard F150 that you can get from a salvage yard and have repainted? P.S. do you know what happened the the Truck World site, I go through withdrawls if I can't cruise both sites. Best of luck with the repairs.

Thanks guys. It was the 4 legged variety...LOL and I didn't have time to stop so I'll have to get my venison the old fashion way. Trucks running great with the new motor and blower, just a little gun shy about starting mods. Was planning on installing my jlp chip this weekend then I hit the deer. Oh well
