I must have received one of the first three! Had mine installed last Tuesday -
I really thought I would be making my first mods to a different part of the vehicle - oh Well, all in good time.
Had the following installed last week:
Keenwood KVT911DVD w/KNA-DV2100 Nav & PS2
400W\watt power inverter
6" Rear monitors in headrests
FM Wireless headsets for rear monitors
JL Audio 500-5 amp
JL Audio Stealth Box (rear console replacement) w/12W3 sub
Focal 165W3 - 3 way comps
JL Audio XR570cxi rear speakers
I must say that this set up is tight. This is also the first set of this particular 3 way Focal components this shop installed, the Utopia series. The bass hits so tight it's incedible! We did all 3 components in the doors in place of the OE 6x8's (5x7's). Thought about the tweets in the A pillars, though didn't want to get in the way of the pod gauges when I install and the installer felt that using kick pannel install places the components to far appart and too low in the passenger compartment in this truck.
The sub box is definetly the way to go. There have been several posts concerning loosing the storage space, but considering the options for sub location in these trucks and the results after installing it's the only way to go. You wind up with about 3" depth remaining in your rear console. NOTE - there is some fine adjustment needed so that the top still latches correctly.
One of my goals was that the install was as "invisable" as possible ( I know you can't hide three monitors ). The real bummer is that I lost all rear storage as well behind the seats. The amp went in the compatment drivers side and the cross over's went passenger side. The "brain" for the head unit went nicely in the area between them both. The only thing other than the monitors that is not completly hidden is the nav unit which is under the drivers side rear seat. Since the monitor in the head unit retracts and hides I'm thinking about getting some black leather covers made for the head rests to hide those as well when not in use. I have also ordered new head rests - Like a lot of us have made comments - I don't want to make any mods that are permanent or at least can't be restored to stock config.
Spent more than I planned, but end result is well worth it!
Also installed the 24" wheel / tire package. Will not work for long term street driveability - occasionaly hits the top of the fender trim with suspension travel while driving at speed. There comming back off for now, show use only! It does look strong though!
I'll post pics in the next day or two - it was getting dark when I got around to taking them over the weekend and they did not come out that great. It's supposed to stop raining here later today.

What did you guys pay for the stealthbox?
Treadwheeler - what did you pay for that 500/5? I was thinking of using that or the 300/4 and powering the back door speakers off whatever headunit I go with(assuming it isn't RCA only).
Thanks guys.

The stealth subbox I priced in the Bay Area was like $499 (no amp included). I think I am going to go for a modest 12" in a custom box. I think I can take out the rear console completely and replace it with a small bench seat that has the Sub in it. That way I can carry 3 (or even 4) people back there when I want to. I already know some women who claim THAT seat in particular if I get it done.
For the long run, I was thinking of something fairly modular. So I could return the console when I want, or even put in one of those powered coolers back there (why else would there be a power outlet at the base of the front console

You might be on to something there. I would like a console replacement that is the same height as the seats folded down. That way I could throw a tarp over the whole thing and my dog could rid back there on long trips. (I know, throw the bitch in the back.. She doesn't appreciate that at 80 MPH +)
I'll have to take some measurements and see what would work.

I am not sure of the volumetric dimentions needed for a 12" sub, but I bet with a little creative woodworking it would be easy enough make something work and look good. If I have to, I could always use up some of the space behind the console were the plastic wall covers the back of the truck. I have a 12" sub in the back of my car right now (an '88 Camry
) and I could measure it and do some drawings on CAD.

Is that $400 for the 12 inch jl subbox for the rear console of the Harley F-150. Man I was quoted like 600-650 is that way to high or what. Does anyone know where I can order one cheaper. Thank You.

List price is $550, so in theory no dealer should charge over that price. Finding stealth boxes online is almost impossible. Best bet is to work with a local dealer and try to get it down to $450-475.
I'm really thinking about removing the whole back wall and replacing it. I would put 1 12" behind the console where that bump out space is. I would put the amps behind the seats. I need to remove everything and figure out the space I have to work with.

There isn't a lot of space behind that plastic barrier, I don't know if there is enough for a 12" sub. I know that they sell an 8" sub that fits in the cut out hole behind the console. It is actually for the blackwood, but it it a formed subbox that will fit our trucks too. I think it was like $400.
Since I would be removing the back wall and creating a new one, I think I have the space. Worst case scenario is I move the stock rear console forward a few inches to make it work. The rear of the box will be fiberglassed in the shape of the back wall to get all the space possible.

4WL HOGG--- the sub from the blackwood that is 8" and has internal amp is under 200. I was thinking about getting it. I think I like the JL Audio 12" the most. That must kick. Now I have to decide which amp to power the components and the sub.
