Lucky,

Thanks for the #. As soon as I got home I went straight to the muffler shop. He told me that he could put it on if I got one. So I went to the auto parts store and they didn't have one.

Lucky: have you had any probelms with emissions inspection since you replaced the muffler with the x-pipe? Since MD doesn't have yearly vehicle inspections we can get away with that.

PhillyRube doesn't VA has state inspections? Couldn't they reject the inspection without a muffler?

The sound was awsome, but would hate to get nailed for not having a muffler.

It was great to meet you guys this weekend.

No problems at all. All the muffler is doing is keeping the noise down. It doesn't effect the emissions. Being in Maryland you don't have any thing to worry about.

Phillyrube, or anybody else that came, if you want Steve's (the guy who works at mikes and set this all up with the free lunch and all) email me and i'll send you his email. dont' want to post it on the boards.

hey lucky, did you happen to notice any loss of low end tq with the less backpressure with teh X pipe?

since we have inspection every 2 years here in jersey, i'm gonna go with a muffler...probably magnaflow, and i want the tips to come out in the stock location, but on both sides like jjordon23 had, but not sure if i should get rid of the Y pipe and run true duals all the way back, or just keep the Y pipe and run SIDO magnaflow.

Virginia does have a state inspection, but the inspector is only looking for leaks in the system. Do the old 'hold a rag over the tailpipe' check, and as long as there are no leaks you're okay. They DO look for a catalytic convertor, going as far as knocking on it to make sure it hasn't been gutted. Most of the checks done are with the truck at idle, and Roger's sounded pretty stock at idle, but when he pounced on it was when it barked. Very nice tone!

Harley#356 no loss of power. You have 4 cats on there so there is still plenty of back pressure. I'm glad everybody liked the tone of my exhaust. Glad to see everybody made it back home safely. Lets try to do it again sometime soon. I'm leaving for Texas in April May time frame. I'm going down to be a Drill Sgt. So lets get together before then.
I also need one of those Harley F-150 T shirts.

It will be tomorrow morning before I can read your e-mail. My account is at work and my home e-mail isn't working. So I'm not blowing you off

Re: H-D F150 mats...

Hey there 356,

A friend gave me a set of mats like yours as a birthday gift today. They look great in my '00 H-D! Now I've got to score the rear set. I think I saw a matching rear runner on Ebay a while back. I'll check out availability at the H-D dealership next visit.

Between her and my wife I think they bought out the store today since my Stepbrother and I share the same birthday and we both ride. What a haul of loot we took in tonight! I'm one lucky dude!
