Key Fob Remotes

Guys, I bought my truck used, didn't get the fobs. I got some on eBay, waiting for arrival. My owners manual says I can program these myself, true? Or does a dealer have to do it? Dealer wants $56 each, eBay was $15 for 2. Thanks, ART

you should be able to program them yourself. I think i remeber reading that part in the manual when i was looking on how to program a new key. i think it might have said you need the original fobs though? not totally sure. post results when ya go to try and do it

good luck!

You can program them yourself if you know the steps/process. My dad who worked for Ford programmed a couple for a Bronco I had a few years ago that didn't have the fobs when I bought it.

I know he got under the dash and pressed the buttons on the key fob in a certain order and turned the ignition off and on but I don't remember the exact process. There might be some info on it if you search here of perhaps someone else know.

Good Luck!
