Winter Car
Winter Car
Just picked up a used car for the winter. its a 97 Hyundai Accent. 130K miles. Runs great, leaks nothing, great exterior, nice interior. 4 cylinder 5 speed manual. 1300. Anything to keep the miles off the HD and keep her off the road in the winter. Especially since i don't have a garage. I'm going to be getting the stormweave car cover from calcarcovers. The only thing the car needs is new tires. It looks weird sitting next to my HD cuz the tires on the car are 13" rims and super skinny.

and just to make it interesting...here's my other truck. 85 f150 explorer. ITs the work truck. 125K miles and runs great doesn't burn a drop of oil. . .

So, what's everybody else's other vehicles?

1993 Mustang Cobra 22k miles, 2001 Kawasaki ZX11 4k miles, and my favorite; my late fathers' cherry 1984 Ford F150 SWB 4x4, 302ci, 4 on the floor, Edelbrock 650cfm 4 barrel, Performer RPM intake, Hooker long tubes, Flowmaster DIDO muffler, and tasteful HD style dual tips behind passenger side rear tire. My hoss.
BTW Harley, your hood looks kick a$$.

Check my sig for the full story. Here's my daily driver(s)

Rather than post again, I'll just update here. I'm 45, married for 25 years, and have one 10 year old daughter, and a black mini dachshund named Ollie.
I own a company that operates arcade video games. As you can see, it's a decent living...

Harley#356,
How about one of those "inflatable car capsule"? A quick search turn this up on the first try (bottom half of web page). I am sure there are more manufactures of them out there too.
A bit more money, but should protect well in your climate I'd think.
All,
Also, I am some times baffled by some of us... not knowing what everyone does for a living and the age group theye are in. Is everyone willing to post?
I'm 37, 38 in December. I am a overpaid Computer Contractor currently working for our Federal Government (it is 100x more F'd than you can ever imagine!). Live in Memphis. Married. No kids. One Weimaraner dog, Shelby (after Caroll Shelby/and the car). Can't think of anything else...

It gets down to about 65 in the winter and rains about twice per year. I'm about 7 miles from the Pacific, so no salt build-up either.
