Cool supercharger / moonroof problem?

I think I may have come across a bug the Ford engineers never thought about: Has anyone else with an 02 and moonroof had a problem with the moonroof interior shade sliding backwards when you hit the gas hard? I have been in other naturally aspired SCrews and SCabs with moonroofs and I have not seen this happen. I know the Lightnings don't have that problem since they don't have the moonroof option. With the supercharger, I think their is too much torque under the hood to keep that shade in place. I am not going to complain too much about it though

I don't have moonroof so forgive me if I don't know all details, but I would expect it to slide under hard acceleration if there is nothing that holds it in place. Boost in these beasts is strong enough to slam person's body back into the seat, so causing slide of something that is supposed to slide should be natural. Now, it is different issue if that is NOT supposed to happen...

Mine started doing it recently. If that's the only problem I have, I'm happy!

Moonroof Problems

My moonroof actually broke 3 days after I took delivery of my HD, and was stuck in the open position for 2 days before I had time to take it to the dealership to have it fixed... But yeah I had the same problem with the shade flying open when I mashed the gas, and it slamming shut when I had to brake. The dealership didn't fix the shade when they fixed the moonroof, so I thought it was a problem everyone had... I was at the dealership a couple days ago having another problem fixed, (my harley is falling apart) and I test drove a gunmetal harley just to pass the time... it didn't have that problem, so I told the guys in the service dept. and they fixed it in like 10 minutes. I'm not exactly sure what the problem is, but it doesn't take them very long to fix it, so just take it into the dealership.

The whole moonroof shade sliding issue has been covered a number of times in this forum. Just about everyone's slides both accelerating and stopping. I would say it's a good gauge of how you're driving. If your shade doesn't slide you aren't driving the truck properly

Make that sucker slide!!

I have had the problem from Day One as well.

Glad to hear that there is a fix, but I would hate to loose the truck for a day (or more) to have some jabrony do this. Anyway you can find out what they did to correct it?

Thanks.
