Mods Completed on HD

I guess I am all done for now. 2" drop was done a couple weeks ago and several muffler changes done last week. Last night the important work got done. I now have a Superchip (flip), 6# pulley and an Air Force 1. YIKES!! My truck is a BEAST now! No problem hearing the blower with that AF1. No shortage of power either. I could not find any lonely roads last night to make 1/4 mile passes on so I had to settle for 0-60 runs. Using a vericom to collect data BTW. Before the mods I made runs of 6.35 and 6.31 seconds (I was alone in the cab). After the mods I made runs of 5.60 (tires burning) and 5.44 easing into the throttle with a 200lb buddy in the truck. Before the mods the truck would take full throttle off the line every time without wheelspin, now SCREEEECH. Tonite I will find a lonely spot and get some 1320 #'s, can't wait. If anybody has any questions about mufflers, fire away, I have tried a bunch-stock, Lightning, Magnaflow 12468, 14246 and combinations of the aforementioned.

The 14568 I think is the 5x11 SS DIDO muffler. This is the one I should have used in the first place-it is larger than the one I used and thus would be quieter. My 12468 was to loud, but it has the small body and DIDO. If you don't mind being louder than stock you probably won't mind the magnaflow. They still drone at 50-60 mph like the stock muffler, just louder. I have a pair of SS 2.5" in and out Magnaflows now and I like the sound except at 55mph. Still not quiet tho. I just got back from some more Vericom testing with the new mods. Previous best was 14.6@97 mph-basically stock. Tonite I ran 13.66@104, much better! The temperature was around 55F, so it was running good. Oh yeah, I did a 0-60 in 5.2 w/o a passenger.

Terry,

Did you install the air force 1 yourself or tuner shop, if you did was it much to it and how long did it take you?

My buddy and I installed the AF1 in his garage and it was easy. The only difficult part was pushing an air sensor into the plastic AF1 housing. I think the AF1 only took about a half hour. Getting the stock pulley off was no fun tho.

Terry-- where are you in Canada??

I'am in the Okanagan Valley of BC, Also known as the California of Canada.

Very interested in your Mods. Have done the AF1 already and I think the superchip is next. Not sure about the pully mod as yet.

Do have any concerns about factory warrenty?

What is the production # of your truck. Mind is 2131.

I am located back out east (hehe) in Edmonton. I have been to your beautiful valley many times, in fact we have businesses located there-Vernon and Kelowna. The guy who put the pulley on my truck is a friend and a Ford tech at a nearby Ford dealership. I am thinking I will have him do any necessary warranty work. This should avoid any problems. Do the pulley-you will like it!

Terry: Right you do live out East, as if, don't want to confuse our US buddies.

Where did you buy your pully and how much.

My Brother-in-law lives in Spruce, but my business keeps me here all the time.

If you come West give me a E-mail and maybe we could met.

Is your truck a 02 and whats the production #

DAVE
