Just in case that pic is real, you might be interested to know that the "pin stripe" is the same as what Harley is using on their 2003 bikes. It is silver with gold writting, and it reads, "Harley-Davidson" in a criss-cross pattern.

Thumbs down

I have been all over the media.ford.com site and am a registered user and did not find the picture or anything on the 2003 however this does look just like the bikes of 03 and would not suprise me at all. The Gunmetal Blue color is an awesome color if they make it available i just might have to buy another toy for my tox box...........

There's a guy on the inside that post at FTW. He said he's painted a few 03's with those colors, and is going back 2morrow at work to do some stuff with an interior. IF i can get on a computer when i'm in SC for the next 10 days, i'll cross post the latest info over here for you guys.

I'm going crazy here

I've been lookin everywhere for some info on the '03 ...... nobody's talkin. It's killin me. Ma says wait for the Ani issue ('03), my buddy at the dealer says "make ya a greaat deal on an '02. Now I see this pic and got all-a-twitter-with-anticipation. BUT, I think I been schuked
A few things wrong with the pic.
The emblem looks mysteriously like the 100 Ani emblem on the bikes now available at (many) of your local HD dealership. 2.The ol “Boy, that’s a tight door seam” as mentioned earlier. And 3, last but certainly not least, the shadow on the mirror indicates the sun from upper right but the reflection of the sun (too bright for a fill flash and flash would eliminate mirror shadow) indicates sun is on the left. Its gotta be a fake……or is it?
Oh yea, I cant find the pic anywhere on the Ford site.....I guess thats 4.

But the bike's cloisonne' emblems don't say 'Supercharged F150'
If it's a fake, it's a pretty good one

From: Tampa, FL, or Memphis TN... depends.
I think it is a kick @zz emblem for the HD Trucks.

I also think it is a fake for many of the reasons already stated

/tg

P.S. If they are the real ones-- I will pay 100 bucks a pop to update my '02 (if the Lightning funds will allow).

Exclamation Saw it with my own two eyes

I think I need to jump in here again and slow down some of the speculation about the Picture being fake or not.

I did see that same picture on the http://media.ford.com/products/index.cfm?make_id=92 website, I did download it to my files from their site. My guess is that ford themselves did the touch up, who else.

Now for more of a twist, I can't get back into the pictures side of the same site, it redirects me to a "media credentials" sort of page and won't let me in where I was before.

Try it yourself, or get your friend from your local paper to sign up.

p.s. if memory serves me, the caption for that picture on fords site read 2003 Harley Davidson.

I don't think it is a fake. It is on this site http://www.wieck.com/public/index.html which is a site for all sorts of media pictures. Type in Harley and click on search and you get this picture

It's probably cleaned up so the door seam isn't so noticable in the picture. If it's like toe 2003 bikes, the tan/goldish stripe between the black and silver actualy has thousands of little "Harley-Davidson"s in it. Here's the bike:

I can't get the close-up of the stripe to load because it's in some flash deal on the HD site but if you go to the HD site, pick 2003 bikes, pick any bike, pick styling, pick striping

Just to add a little more fuel to the fire. All of the literature that I saw at the rally in Atlanta had Ford and Harley on the same emblem since it's both of their birthdays. That pic might be a little fake but I wouldn't be surprised if they put something like that on the '03 trucks.

NOOO! Don't unload that KR! Hang on to it and just drive it as a 'work truck'.

Lightbulb New evidence

New evidence just in:

The picture that I found on Fords web site for the 03 Heritage Edition (one of which I have on order) has the same funny stuff done to it too. As you can see in the first pic, there is such a truck.

But in Fords own close-up shot the fender to door gap isn't there.

Looks like Ford does their own Photo Shop work, they probably think it doesn't really matter to the un trained eye.
