Question Will 2003 be the last HD F-150?....

Or will 2004 be the last year of the agreement? I thought the agreement was for five years. Just wondering if there will be a new F150 body style HD.

Thanks,

Collin

Well, when I was in Daytona I talked to a rep there and the agreement was extended to 10 years. I guess we will see if sales go down if they will continue making them. I hope they stop which will increase the value of the ones out there.

Harley

I like the options - Supercharger, Leather, counsoles, Climate Control ect....
That is why I bought the truck.

When I buy a Ford why do I need to advertise for Harley Davidson. I hope we are not paying more for the truck for there advertisment.

I do not like Harley or the way they do business. I have been screwed by them too many times.

Also I don't like there sales tactics where they tell you there is a big waiting list for there bikes (so they can sell there bikes at above list price) and if you look in the back room there is a bunch of new unsold bikes, and soon as somone buys a bike another one appears on the floor (at a deal great deal above list price).

The fleet sales manager I do business with said they signed another 5 year agreement with Harley so it looks like they will be building them for a few more years.

I hope they stop soon. To me it would make the most sense to stop in 03, cuz it will be their 100th, but they will probably go into 04. I'm not gonna believe they signed another 5 year contract, because its probably coming from the same dealers who are saying that they are making a firefighter edition HD for just firefighters, or making a Exped harley. Not saying you guys are wrong, just that I'll believe it when i see it.

Whether or not they build them is one thing. The guy I know is a reputable source and actually works with Ford training other fleet ordering managers so I think he's pretty accurate. Why not? Ford and Harley got a good thing going.

I agree with you, it would be nice if they stopped for those of us who already have them. I would have liked them to stop right after I got mine

i'm not saying he's not reputable, but when it comes to the next HD's, very few know, only the very, very insiders of the ford/harley alliance, and i wouldn't think that a sales manager at a dealer would know that info. He may have heard stuff through the grape vine, but that may as well be just a rumor. I may be wrong, but i'm doubting anything that comes from a dealer, reputable or not, if it concerns the next HD's, cuz odds are, they don't know 100%. just my opinion

Agreed...one dealer told me the '02 HD edition was going to be an Expedition--I didn't laugh out loud but seriously who did he think was going to buy a HD badged Ex? Keep in mind that the F150 line is due for a facelift in '04; that might produce an interesting HD edition. Got friends in Marketing? They usually have the goods before anyone else since they're responsible for getting out the 'rumors' to whet the buyers appetitie. The latest good ones out of Ford have the European Modeo coming back to North America with the Taurus being phased out--you will remember the original Mondeo coming here as the Contour--not as successful as Ford hoped even tho I luv my '99 SVT. These are feelers to guage public appetite.
